About the Company

Coral South is an exceptional undertaking that elevates Mozambique's position in the global LNG market. The project, which received approval in 2017, was completed within 5 years, adhering to the initial budget and schedule, despite the Covid pandemic's disruptions. Eni's unique phased and parallelized strategy, highly effective execution planning, and unwavering commitment from all partners, including the Mozambique government, contributed to this outcome. Coral Sul FLNG has a liquefaction capacity of 3.4 million tons per year and will use the Coral reservoir's 450 billion cubic meters of gas to produce LNG.

About the Position: 

Coral FNLG SA is hiring at moment a Utility Operator to work offshore.

Function:

The function is to operate and control OSBL units and topside utilities (Turret, condensate stabilization, inlet facilities, MEG treatment, chemicals injection, main turbo power generation, emergency power generation, fuel gas, hot oil, flare system and closed drain) safely and efficiently from the site, outside the CCR, according to approved operating procedures, CCR operator's guidance and instructions from the Field Supervisor.

Main Tasks:

• Follow the startup procedures related to black/cold/hot startups for Inlet Facilities and Utilities Topside units and equipment.

• Conduct monitoring, data logging, and operation of local control panels, equipment, and instruments within the assigned area, and suggest improvements.

• Carry out isolation, inerting, and defrosting for equipment in the assigned area.

• Review and follow up on all permits to work issued and prepare equipment for maintenance in the assigned area.

• Maintain housekeeping standards in the assigned area.

• Report any faults or defects in the assigned area and take corrective action to limit the risk to personnel, plant equipment, and production during emergency situations. 

• The main propose is to corrective actions to prevent incidents and escalations.

• Follow the shutdown procedures safely and efficiently when required.

• Coordinate continuously with CCR operator to handle all plant operating activities.

• Monitor and control the consumption of chemicals effectively.

• Be able to participate in updating and improving operating procedures and relevant initiatives.

• Support maintenance activities within the assigned area by cooperating with CCR Operators to shut down equipment/process units and prepare them for maintenance intervention.

• Support turnaround activities by safely shutting down the facility, preparing the process and equipment for maintenance/inspection activities, carrying out the tests mandated by the turnaround plan, preparing the process and equipment for restart and safely restarting the facility after the turnaround completion.

• Ensure proper shift handover and reporting to the next shift.

• Stay updated with the latest standing instructions, modifications, and procedures.

• Support the operation training program by providing support to Operator trainees during their OnJob Training.

• Be able to participate in the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).

Qualifications and Experience:

• High Technical School: 9 years of experience, including 6 years in Gas Plant/Inlet Facilities.

• BSc of Engineering or Science: 6 years of experience, including 4 years in Gas Plant/Inlet Facilities.

Competencies:

• Proficiency in English (verbal and written)

• Must have knowledge of Gas plant Utilities and inlet facilities

• Experience in Water Treatment

• Must have a strong knowledge of firefighting, emergency response plans, and rescue plans

• Must have a strong knowledge of permit to work systems

• Strong knowledge of HSE Golden Rules
