G4S Mozambique is looking for a Human Resources Director to join the Executive Management Team and be involved in the creation and implementation of the company's Mozambique business strategy.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an HR strategy that is aligned with the strategic aims and meets regional standards.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements a comprehensive HR corporate plan that takes into account all relevant factors.
- People and organizational issues that may have an impact on long-term performance.
- Monitors the external labor market and employment situation, networking and influencing as needed.
- Fit to support the G4S brand and commercial plan
- Ensures that local employment laws and industry rules are followed.
- Oversees and develops the HR department.
Culture and organization
- Review corporate structures and ways of working regularly, consulting and engaging employees staff as needed, recognizing possibilities for continuing efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
- Lead by example as a value champion for the G4S values.
- Ensures that whistleblowing or ethical issues are thoroughly investigated, that appropriate action is done in individual circumstances, and that the organization learns from problems and mistakes.
- Employee Resourcing
- Carry out programs to promote a favorable employer brand to present G4S as a desirable employer in selected labor markets.
- Establishes the screening policy for the business unit and oversees the screening process to verify compliance.
- Regulatory or client requirements, as well as G4S policy, must be followed.
Development and learning
- Takes the lead in developing and implementing successful employee induction and on-the-job training programs.
- Oversees the effectiveness of the company's performance management policies and procedures.
- At all levels, personally handling situations involving senior management when necessary.
- Establishes talent management systems and succession plans to develop the capability needed to deliver the project strategy for business.
Employee Relations
- Manage the department that deals with employees.
- Ensure the employee involvement is championed.
- Encourages a workplace that is both fair and inclusive.
- Assists in the implementation of internal communication plans that assist the attainment of the long-term company plan.
Employee Benefits and Administration
- Ensures that jobs are assessed fairly and accurately following the G4S grading scheme.
- Pay and benefits are reviewed and established following work grade and the local market.
- Implements programs that recognize and reward achievement and behavior that is consistent with ideals.
Safety and Health
- Supports the Managing Director and collaborates closely with the H&S specialist to create and implement new policies and procedures to implement plans to continuously enhance the company's health and safety performance
- To effectively manage risk, supervises the operation of the business unit's H&S management system and decrease the number of incidents
- Ensures that personnel at all levels are aware of their H&S duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or management or comparable experience
- HRM Post-Graduate Qualification
- Professional HR expertise of at least 7 years is preferred.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and vocal
- Multitasking, organizing, and prioritizing skills
