Hub Moz is hiring a Food and Nutrion Promoter to Manica (Mozambique)
Requirements:
- A diploma degree or medium-level vocational training in food, health, and nutritional safety and security, relevant work experience in food, health, nutrition, and sanitation operations, as well as other associated rural development activities in general,
- Understanding of the district's specific situation (Barue),
- Capacity to speak fluently in the native tongue
- For this role, actual and relevant experience using extension tools and participatory methodologies is required.
- Women will be given priority.
- On March 14, 2022, I will be available to start employment.
- A valid 125cc motorcycle driver's license is required to apply.
Key Roles:
- Providing health advice and supporting good eating habits are the main responsibilities.
- Demonstrations of food preparation
- Guiding special diets and food preparation
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to educate SHF and the public about nutrition.
- Ensure interaction with other local initiatives in the context of food and nutrition, bringing the best approaches to the community. Provide on-the-job and hands-on training to Rural Families, with a special focus on the target Small Commercial Farmers and Organized Groups of Smallholder Farmers in Nutritional Best Practices for Handling and Conservation of Food Crops
- Collaborate with local governments on all concerns concerning food safety, nutrition, health, hygiene, and other intervention areas.
