Description of the Position

To provide Smit Lamnalco (SL) vessels with high-quality operational, logistical, and administrative assistance.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities (to include but not limit to)
- On arrival/departure to/from Mozambique, arrange for a quick and effective vessel inward/outward clearance.
- Make all necessary preparations/logistics for SL vessel port calls (reserve berth, arrange bunker, trucks/cranes, rubbish disposal, fresh water and supply supply, and so on).
- Handle Master complaints about provisioning, food/services quality, and so on.
- Keep track of your monthly victualing expenditures per vessel.
- Arrange the necessary formalities for the vessel's crew change, such as hotel reservations, transportation, Visas, and work permits.
- In the warehouse, spares and consumables for the vessel are registered and controlled.
- Preparation of reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) as requested by the client/contract manager
- Other operational responsibilities as assigned by the Contract manager.
Qualifications for the Position
- To be successful in this position, you must possess the following qualifications: a bachelor's degree or an academic degree in one of the following fields: Management, Logistics, Operations, and Business Administration
- Proven work experience in a similar role (3 to 5 years), preferably in the Maritime or Oil & Gas industries.
- Experience with logistics, operations, and administrative activities is a plus.
- Personality with a proactive 'can-do' attitude and a hands-on approach.
- Ability to solve problems.
- English is my first language.
